Reading the Clues

Statele Unlimited turns three small clues into a confident answer. Here is what each one tells you:

• Distance is how far your guessed state is from the mystery state. A small number means you are almost on it.
• Direction is a compass arrow pointing from your guess toward the answer — if you guess Texas and the arrow points north-east, the answer is up and to the right.
• Proximity is a percentage that hits 100% only when you find the exact state, so a jump from 50% to 85% tells you your last guess was a big improvement.

Distances are shown in miles or kilometres depending on your settings — handy for US players who think in miles. Read together, the clues let you triangulate: one guess plus its arrow points to the right region, and a second guess in that direction usually seals it.
